Present Simple Tense 

Used to talk about:  

• Habits and routines 

Example: I talk to my brother once a week on the phone. 

• Things that are generally true 

Example: Animals often use body language to talk to each other. 

Present Continuous Tense 

Used to talk about: 

• Things that are happening now/around now 

Example: My sister is talking to her friend on the phone. 

Present Perfect Tense 

Used to talk about: 

• Experiences with no specific time reference 

Example: I’ve met a lot of interesting people through my work.
